About us
|
|
|
Hi, we are Brian and Brenda. We have had Westies for about 20years. We bought our first Westie as a 6mth pup and were encouraged to breed from her when she was 3yrs old. We now have 6 Westies but have had as many as eight living with us
and assorted other dogs, cats & rabbits ! We have been showing Westies for 15yrs.
Having fallen in love with a Dandie Dinmont when he beat us at a show, we are now the very proud owners of a 4mth Dandie
bitch called Lexie. We look forward to showing her along with our Westies in the near future,
We think the site is great, and look forward to doing our bit to promote Dandies.

Hi and welcome Brian and Brenda from Hilary and I!
Westies are part of our canine heritage too remember! I do believe one way forward for many of our numerically challenged breeds is for existing breeders with other breeds to take on one of our "rare" breeds. In addition to you with Westies and now a Dandie, we also have a Cocker lady who is now the proud owner of a Clumber too! I am sure there are lots more out there and we welcome you all. If you want to post photos, please remember that they have to be resized/compressed to a web friendly size first. having seen some of your photos of your DDT puppy, I know everyone will really enjoy seeing photos of her too!
Regards,
Paul K

Hi Brian & Brenda,
I too started off with Westies and have owned them for 26 years. I used to show and breed and still judge them at Open show level. Then 4 years ago I saw some Sealyham puppies and it was love at first sight. I now have 2 Sealyhams and 2 Westies.
I agree with Paul - it's great when people with a more populat terrier have the guts to go and get a numerically smaller breed. I don't regret choosing Sealyhams for a minute and I've had a tremendous deal of enjoyment from the breed. I'm sure you will have fun with your Dandie
Very best wishes,
Tamara (stanwega)
