British Heritage Dog Breeds

Hi my name is Ray Worster my wife and I own a nine month old Dandie Dinmont Terrier called Bertie which is why is name is Bertie Worster.

This is our first Danie In the past we had two Yorkies who lived to the old age of 17 & 17.5 years of age.
We bought Bertie from Joan Tinsley and it was only after two hours of talking in a cafe that we made the dission to buy Bertie knowling that Dandie ownership would be nothing like living with two yorkies.

Since that day we have seen Bertie have two eye operations for cherry eye not very nice and seen him win best condition dog in a local show.

We are very keen to tell people about the breed and have been surprised that some poeple know what he is biut have never seen a Dandie. There was one woman who crossed the road to tell me she knew what Bertie was ans said he was a WestiePoo I said yes thats right and carried on with our walk.
