Hi All

You may not be aware that Hils, who usually does such a great job of looking after this site, has some family problems at the moment -- hence my feeble efforts to try to fill in with a few quizzes and the like.

I’m sure we all wish Hils well and will see her back online soon.

In the meantime a bit of seasonal stuff – it is nearly Christmas after all.

Some bloke had a go at doing a Christmas article last year - Dog World must have rejected it and it ended up on here! It’s still on the site and I can recommend it for a read or re-read.

In lieu of sending you all a Christmas card I’ve written a short Christmas verse, more Hallmark than highbrow but I’m a sentimental old sort really.

A Dog at Christmas
Did the Shepherd’s have a loyal dog to watch their flock at night?
Did the three Kings take their noble hounds to follow that bright light?
Had the Inn Keeper a bold guard dog to hold all thieves at bay?
Did a street stray sneak into the stall and hide beneath the hay?
Was a dog really a witness to the greatest story ever penned?
I can’t imagine Christmas without man’s truest friend.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

P.S... If you follow my ramblings in Dog World I should, editor willing, be in the issue on sale December 24th.

Kevin
