:-) Yes they can - the WCSS basically have been breeding for "fit for function" for the past 25 years. The last 10 years they have come on leaps and bounds - as regards fitness and working ability. All by breeding dogs that a) work and b) have been hip scored and only breeding to low scoring stock.

If it wasn't for them , I doubt the interim breed standard would read as it does today. Wanting a sound, functional smaller workmanlike dog.
