Debbie Robinson writes:
"As you know, we try to rotate the geographical location of the Mingles and this time we’re in Sussex, being hosted by Michael Corfield and his Irish Water Spaniel, Drummond. Michael runs a pub in Boreham Street called The Bulls Head so it’s to his dog-friendly establishment that we’ll be retiring for lunch after our walk. However, we’ll meet at Herstmonceux Castle carpark because it’s signposted with brown tourist signs and easy to find.
Sue Hempstead (Kennel Cuvana) will be joining us for lunch and offering grooming advice and tips after lunch. She’s not offering to do all the hard work for you, but if you want to know how to trim a topknot, examine feet, which tools are best to use for grooming IWS, then Sue will be on hand to help.
If anyone would like to stay down in the area and make a weekend of it – you have the beautiful towns of Rye and historic Battle in the immediate neighbourhood. Please contact Michael for B&Bs etc in the area. If several of us stay down on the Saturday night, we can walk together on the Sunday morning too, if there’s a demand for it?
